Employment and induced economic activity

During the year 2021, a 20% increase in the recruitment of own staff has been achieved. However, the recovery has been most noticeable in the area of external suppliers. Here, the increase has been 30%, which puts the level of induced employment on a higher scale than that of salaried employees in the sector.

The recovery of activity after the 2020 confinements due to Covid-19 significantly increased employment in the Catalan cement factories, even improving the workforce volumes in the years prior to the health crisis.
