Environmental investments
The commitment to protecting the natural and environmental surroundings achieved an extraordinary result in 2021 thanks to an investment more than double that of the previous year. Compared to 2019 (the last year before the pandemic), the number of economic resources allocated to improving the environmental conduct of Catalan cement facilities increased by 21%.
In this last financial year, the investment of more than 2.3 million euros earmarked for CO2 savings by alternative fuels stands out, it is almost double that of the previous year. At the same time, €1.8 million was invested in energy efficiency projects.
