Exports fall by 12%

The difficulties of Catalan factories in exporting cement and clinker remained, for yet another year, at significantly low levels. One would have to go back to 2009 (when high domestic consumption still prevented the availability of product for sales abroad) to find a figure as low as that recorded in 2023: the 1.63 million tons exported represent a 12% reduction on the previous year, and confirm - for the fifth consecutive year - a volume below 2 million tons per year.
