Interaction with all stakeholders
The application of policies of transparency and dialogue with society is part of the mission of Ciment Català. The dissemination of the activities of the Association and, above all, the dissemination of technical knowledge and statistical data on the sector focus the main actions in communication. The information offered is continuous and accessible to the different stakeholders, both through structured channels (digital and printed) and through personal and direct contact (meetings, presentations, visits...).
Throughout 2023, the list of actions linked to the transparency policies implemented by the Catalan cement industry includes the following stakeholders and activities:
- Society and citizens: publication of the Annual Report, Circular Economy Observatory and updating of the corporate website.
- Public Administrations: sectorial presentations, Carbon Neutrality Roadmap, technical reports, collaboration agreements and edition of newsletters.
- Media: regular edition of statistical releases, permanent attention to any request for information and support to the Catalan Association of Scientific Communication.
- Neighborhood associations: factory visits, informative meetings, permanent attention, participation in control and follow-up commissions and sponsorships.
- Sector professionals: working committees, carbon neutrality roadmap, technical training and newsletter publication.
- Labor unions and works councils: working groups, occupational risk prevention plans and specific training.
- Employers' organizations: participation and contribution to commissions and working groups.
- Customers: technical demonstrations, consulting and hotlines.
- Suppliers: factory safety plans and dissemination of technical studies.
- Shareholders: publication of economic and sustainability reports.
- Universities and academia: company chairs, funding of research projects and factory visits for students.
- Non-governmental organizations: provision of sectoral technical information and sponsorships.
