Material recovery
Side by side with the increase inclinker and cement production,2019has also registered an increase in the use of products and waste as raw materials. Specifically, the so-called material recovery has reached the figure of 107,640 tons, representing a 5% increase over the volume used in 2018.
This practice has direct benefits on the environment as it avoids the consumption of natural resources. During the year, more than 81,000 tons of aggregates have been replaced, with the consequent reduction, also, of impact on the quarries and, therefore, with an increase in the protection of the environment and the habitat of animal and plant species.
