Employment and induced economic activity

The evolution ofworkforce in the factories and, above all, the activity with external suppliers, was strongly influenced by the reduction in cement consumption. The drop in activity dueto theconfinement and restrictions on mobility by the pandemic, caused a decline in the number of workers of 8%. Still, direct employment (employees) and indirect (subcontracting) generated by the sector in Catalonia, kept the levels reached in 2018.
